Artisan soap-making
Our story

A quieter kind of clean, made the slow way.

The beginning

Element Soap began with a wish for a bar that felt more like a ritual than a routine — quietly beautiful, honestly made, kind to the skin it touches.

We stir each batch by hand, pour it into wooden moulds, cut it with a wire, and set it aside to cure for six to eight weeks. The extra time gives us harder, longer-lasting bars, richer glycerin content, and a lather that feels — honestly — like nothing else. It's the slow way. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

Uncompromising purity

Only 100% natural ingredients — real plant oils, botanicals, clays and plant-based essential oils. No parabens, sulfates or synthetic fragrance. Ever.

Artisanal craftsmanship

Every bar is stirred, poured, cut and cured by hand. Small batches mean we can care for each one, and it shows in the finish, feel and lather.

Conscious & kind

Cruelty-free with no animal fat — and most of our range is vegan (a few bars use goat milk or honey, and those are clearly marked). Minimal, recyclable packaging. Shipped across Canada with care for the miles.

The process

Handmade. Small-batch. Never rushed.

  • 1 · Blend

We warm plant oils and combine them with a natural saponifier. The result is real, glycerin-rich soap — no synthetic detergents.

  • 2 · Pour

Botanicals, clays and plant-based essential oils go in last. Batter is poured by hand into wooden moulds.

  • 3 · Cut

After 24–48 hours the loaf firms up. We hand-cut each bar with a wire — no two bars are quite identical.

  • 4 · Cure

Bars rest on wooden racks for six to eight weeks. Water evaporates; the bar hardens; the lather blooms.

Sustainability & packaging

Less waste, by design.

Our bars ship in recycled kraft cartons printed with soy-based inks and cushioned with paper — no plastic wrap, no foam. A single bar replaces two to three plastic bottles of body wash.
